Water Mill
My first model is based on model 9.23 Water Mill shown from the 1937–1941 number 9–10 manual built and is built with 1930s blue and gold parts. The original shows a roof over the side building but I left it off so that the milling machine can be seen at our meeting. The model is powered by a 1930s Number 2 clockwork motor.
Block Setting Crane
My second model is a block setting crane based on ‘The model of the Month’ published in the Meccano Magazine of November 1960. The crane has all the functions you would expect: travel along a track, slewing, hoist and travelling crab (trolley). These are all controlled by levers through a gearbox driven by the single E20R electric motor.
